I'm glad you could stop by and visit. Let me introduce myself. In the
real world, I'm a soldier of many hats. I use the word "soldier" here
because I've had to struggle for what I have. It's been a long fight,
but the battle isn't over with yet. I guess you could say my life really didn't start until a few years ago. It was then that things changed forever. I moved across country, and not being able to find work, I decided to try and start working at home. I was always good with the Internet, so I started off by "selling" Internet education. Since then, I have moved on to freelance web design, desktop publishing, writing services, and even a sitting service in my local area. I am a self-taught Internet/web design mistress, but currently, I have been taking some on the side courses to better my skills. I had about three years of programming in college before I dropped out of school to pursue my black belt in Isshinryu karate. This programming has helped me to learn some basics for understanding web scripting. In 2000, I asked an old friend to partner with me in starting my own web design firm. He was a programmer and I was the creative part. It was a perfect match, but it wasn't meant to be. After a year, he left me high and dry, but I still have my business, which is starting up rather slow. To help pay my bills, I got a nighttime job. The graveyard shift might kill me, but at least my creditors won't. *s* And then in 2001, I re-entered this site into another website competition, The Web Brawls, to pass the time away and meet some new people. But something happened this time that I wasn't expecting. I made it to the final round! All I had to do was win that round three weeks in a row and I could finally retire my site, but that wasn't meant to be either. I won the first two weeks, then bombed on the third week. I had to take a LOA after that to get over the disappointment, but now I'm ready to try again. Wish me luck! Well, that's enough of about me now.
